Welcome to Wind Dance Equestrians Pony Club!
Pony Club is the largest equestrian educational organization in the world. This is where it all begins! The cornerstones of our foundation are education, safety, sportsmanship, stewardship and FUN. Members learn riding and the care of horses through mounted sports. The skills, habits and values instilled through horsemanship will apply to every part of a member’s life.
Participating members have access to the Pony Club online community, sponsor discounts, educational standards and achievements, a Pony Club Pin, and the chance to participate in activities such as lessons and certifications, rallies and competitions, Championships and Pony Club Festival. A host of additional programs such as international exchanges, USEF Pony Finals, Dressage for Kids, National Youth Board, National Youth Congress, scholarships, and the Visiting Instructors Program are available to members who develop and progress through Pony Club. Many of our graduates feel that Pony Club helped shape their character and the choices they have made as adults.
Pony Club is pleased to partner with additional educational providers, dedicated to promoting quality instructional resources and education for our membership. Our partners know how important equine knowledge and awareness is for the future of all horses and horse care providers. Learn More .

Step 1 - |
Visit the National Pony Club Website. This will give you information on what Pony club is all about!
|
Step 2 - |
Contact our Membership Coordinator, Sarah Aldersea via email at [email protected] - She will be able to send you an application for our personal Pony Club! The fees you will pay with this application go straight to the national Pony Club! There will be a Club registration fee in addition to the National fee, that will be due January 1st, 2022! This annual fee is for our Club. The fee this year is $50.
|
Step 3 - |
Prepare for your first meeting! Each participant will be required to bring these three items to every meeting! During the meeting, we may go over some martials & reading may be assigned. The medical armbands are required for all participants.
|
Step 4 - |
We ask that participants dress appropriately in attire that is presentable and safe to wear around horses. We require that all riders wear either leggings, jeans or riding pants along with a heeled boot (Ariat Paddock Boots or Cowboy Boots work the best!) A presentable shirt is recommended but not required, polos are best! Any activities where horses are involved, we do require a helmet to be worn, even if we are only handling the horse on the ground. Our barn has some helmets available, but our supply is limited.
|
Step 5 - |
You are all ready for your first meeting! The first Saturday of each month is when we gather for our required mounted and unmounted meetings! There may also be other optional meetings for participants who want more time! Each of the required meetings has a $35 fee that can be paid via cash, check or Venmo! Optional meetings may have a different fee for attendance. Fees will be collected at the beginning of the meeting. Our Pony Club strives to make our meetings as affordable as possible! All fees will go towards allowing the club to run & giving as many opportunities as possible to our club participants.
